WACEL Technician Certification Program Overview

WACEL provides an easy button for members to comply with certification requirements for any jurisdictional special inspection programs by:

• Providing testing on demand either through the online testing platform, in the WACEL office or at your firm's office (provided there are five or more who need to be tested)
• Offering monthly or more frequent proficiency exams
• Providing monthly training classes for soil field special inspector and concrete field level I.

WACEL certifications assess an individual's knowledge of information deemed critical to the proper performance of the tasks associated with the work for which certification is sought. Certification implies solely that an individual has met WACEL criteria and prerequisites and has passed a written examination and in some cases, a performance exam. A certification is valid for five years. WACEL criteria, prerequisites and examinations are compatible with guidelines established by ACI, ASTM, NICET, ICC and local governments.
